Practicum - Davenport University Global Campus
I had the opportunity to complete an instructional design internship with Davenport University’s Global Campus, a fully online private university founded in 1866.
Davenport is known for its programs in business administration, marketing, and accounting, and is nationally recognized for its Casa Latina dual-language program, the first of its kind offered online in the U.S.

During my internship, I gained hands-on experience in course design, project management, and LMS administration. I worked closely with subject matter experts, faculty, and assistant department chairs, and developed proficiency in new learning management systems. I also created a Gantt tracker to manage course development timelines and support efficient workflow across the instructional design team.
At the start of my practicum, Davenport was transitioning to Blackboard Ultra and redesigning courses for the new platform. The university also implemented digital tools and rapid eLearning applications, including Storyline and Rise, to enhance student engagement and satisfaction.
Samples of my work during this practicum can be found under my Projects section or by clicking the link below.
